Streets for All training

Streets for All: South East front cover imageTo support the Streets for All regional manuals that have been produced in conjunction with the Department for Transport, English Heritage will be holding a range of training events throughout England.

The training will be aimed primarily at highways professionals, but will also be of interest to conservation officers, urban designers and others involved with decisions about streets and the public realm.

The aims of the events will be:

  • to raise awareness of the importance and value of improvements to streets and the public realm
  • to explain the value of the historic environment and look at how it can enhance street improvements
  • to encourage links between highways and conservation staff
  • to consider, and overcome, perceived barriers to improving the quality of streets and the public realm

The training events will follow a range of formats, from formal workshops and seminars to informal group discussions with local authorities. Information on forthcoming Streets for All training is posted here as it becomes available.

Alternatively, contact the relevant regional office or email saveourstreets@english-heritage.org.uk.
