A policy document prepared by English Heritage on behalf of the London Historic Environment Forum to demonstrate the contribution of the historic environment to virtually every aspect of London’s strategic development from regeneration and education to community cohesion and hosting the Olympic Games in 2012. Including case studies on topics such as tourism, cultural industry, participation and biodiversity, Capital Values also introduces the member organisations of the London Historic Environment Forum and the objectives of this group of London’s key agencies for the historic environment. A specific focus of the document is the potential role of the historic environment in Local Area Agreements which identify and develop local priorities for local authorities.
