Heritage Counts 2007 is the sixth annual survey of the state of England’s historic environment. The report looks at the principal changes which have occurred in the historic environment since 2002. It also includes a focus on the historic environment as a learning resource and on the issues faced by the sector in relation to the skills of the workforce. There is a Summary and a full national report, both available on line. Alongside the national report, nine regional reports provide further detail on the state of the historic environment in each of England’s regions. Heritage Counts is prepared by English Heritage on behalf of the Historic Environment Review Executive Committee and the Regional Historic Environment Forums.
