This section represents a sample of the continuing professional development (CPD), undergraduate, postgraduate and adult education courses on offer relating to the historic environment.   • The Society’s Repair Course has been run annually since 1950 and is now held twice a year. The course is intended for architects, surveyors, structural engineers, planners, conservation officers, builders and craftsmen. It is likely to meet Continuing Professional Development requirements for architects and surveyors.

  • October 2007 - March 2008. The Ironbridge Institute, offers both lecture based and practical two day conservation workshops which can be attended individually by members of the public or as elements of CPD training.

  • TORC is an information service for anyone interested in courses and training in archaeology, from GCSE and A level courses through to specialised training for professional archaeologists. TORC will be providing a searchable database of all archaeology courses in the UK in the near future.

  • The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment is an Executive Non-Departmental Public Body inspiring people to demand more from their buildings and spaces. CABE's design skills programme exists to build capacity and competence across the full range of professions and agencies that change and manage the public realm.
